Luis "Sapo" Santos is an experience Vale Tudo fighter in Brazil. This can be seen in his fighting record. For a career which has spanned 10 years in MMA, Sapo or the Toad has accumulated 57 fights with 50 of those fights with his hands raised, 6 losses and 1 draw. Sapo fought mainly in Brazil and has fought in the WEC against Alexander Serdyukov

A Nogueira Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt who hails from Belem, Brazil the same town as Lyoto Machida. Sapo won his first 18 fights until his first loss against Idelmar Alcantara via triangle choke.

Ever since his first loss he has been on 5 separate winning and undefeated streaks. One spanning 18 fights and the other 11, another 4 fights, 7 fights between august 2006 to July 2007 and the most recent one 10 which includes his fight with Dan Hornbuckle in the Bellator Welterweight tournament quarterfinals. besides that he is married to Women MMA fighter Carina Damm
