Technique of the day: How to throw a Perfect Hook With Jay Glazer

The dude from NFL Insider teaches you how to throw a hook

He used to fight with a record of 1-1 and is a business partner of Randy Couture

Cosmo Alexandre Highlights

I'm not the biggest K1 or even Muay thai fights so please forgive me if I don't know Muay Thai fighters other than Buakaw and Yodsaenklai but seriously

I didn't know this dude is a monster in the art of 8 limbs and a world champ

This guys is sick

On top of that, the number of world class kickboxers he fought is staggering. I mean the John Wayne Parr's, the Yodsaenklai's of the Muay Thai world.

Enjoy while watching somebody get their ass beat by a Muay Thai wrecking machine from Brazil

I wonder how's his Jiu Jitsu?

Heads up Josh Quayhagen

UFC on Versus 6: Cruz vs. Johnson Weigh-Ins

UFC on Versus weigh in's and the all important stare down

This weekend: Bellator 52

UFC on Versus 6 has been grabbing the highlights for the weekend. I was too focused on it until I forgot that Bellator is have their own event on the same day 1st of october. Its the season 5 of their tournaments and this time its the Heavyweights turn

Bellator 52 will be held in L’Auberge du Lac Casino and Resort,Lake Charles, Louisiana, United States or can be see live on MTV2

The Bellator heavyweight contestants are all eyeing to win the 100,000 and a shot to the Heavyweight title that belong to Cole Konrad

Most of the guys I have never heard of, let alone seen them fight. Knowing this is a Bellator card and Bjorn Rebney always puts on a very good card i.e. Bellator 51, we are going to have some fireworks

The most recognizable names in the card should be Neil Grove and Abe Wagner.

The South African Neil Grove has fought in the UFC (Once) and have fought a number of former or current UFC talent, The likes of Rob Broughton, Eddie Sanchez, James Mcsweeney, james Thompson.

His last fight against Zak Jensen was a fans dream. A war. A bloodbath. Zak Jensen went for a kneebar, so too Neil Grove and in an awkward position, the both of them start throwing punches. Zak Jensen to the Body, Neil Grove to the head. Neither would budge until Neil landed the bigger shots and He won by TKO in the second minute of the first round

The other recognizable name for me is Abe Wagner. I saw one of his fights where he fought former UFC champ, Tim Sylvia and the dude beat Tim in under a minute. An upset. The biggest win for Abe Wagner. But the dude ain't no sloucher too. He fought Travis Browne who is currently in the UFC for the VFC Heavyweight title but lost to him by way of Knock Out

Heavyweight Tournament Quarterfinals

Neil Grove vs Mike Hayes
Ron Sparks vs Mark Holata
Blagoi Ivanov vs Zak Jensen
Abe Wagner vs Eric Prindle

*Zak Jensen replaces Thiago Santos who was unable to travel from Brazil

Undercard

Bryan Goldsby vs Genair da Silva (catch weight 150lbs)
Josh Quayhagen vs Cosmo Alexander
Justin Frazier vs Liron Wilson
Nick Nichols vs Matt Van Buren (catchweight 213lbs)

UFC: Matt Hume Talks ONE FC, UFC In Japan and Demetrious Johnson

The Wizard talks about MMA in Asia

He believes that Singapore, South Korea, Philippines and Hong Kong has a huge potential for MMA

Besides that, he talks on the upcoming fight for his fighter Demetrious Johnson against Dominick Cruz for the UFC bantamweight title

In my opinion style wise, the fight going to be awesome

Speed vs Speed

Cardio vs Cardio

I believe the fight is going to a decision because if you see the last few fights the two fighters fought have all been to the decision

Neither have knockout power or have yet to show it in a fight but both have speed and a lot of heart.

So i'm expecting a war between the two.

Jose Aldo: Weight Cut Battle, Part 1

I'm a Keyboard warrior so I don't know much about the real thing

Watching this video speaks a lot about weight cutting

Many fighters said it over and over again, that the hardest part of a fight is the weight cutting

Man, it is true. You can see it in Aldo's eyes. The pain.

Excruciating

UFC Planning Simultaneous February Events in Japan, Las Vegas

The Ultimate Fighting Championship apparently has big plans for February, as promotion president Dana White revealed Tuesday that the organization will attempt to hold two events simultaneously in early-2012.

“When we go to Japan next year, we are going to be putting on a show at the same time in Las Vegas,” White told Dave Meltzer of Yahoo Sports. “We’ll be doing a lot of that in the future.”

The UFC’s return to Japan will take place Feb. 26, 2012, at Saitama Super Arena. While no contests have been officially revealed for the show, the card is expected to be populated with former Pride Fighting Championships stars.

As the event will take place live on Sunday in Saitama, Japan, the show will likely air live during its normal hours of broadcast on Saturday, Feb. 25, in the United States. It is currently unknown if the two simultaneous events will air as a single broadcast or as completely separate shows.

The concept of an organization hosting multiple events simultaneously is not unheard of. Likely the most famous attempt at the practice came in 1986, when the then-World Wrestling Federation promoted the pro-wrestling event “Wrestlemania 2” from three separate venues in California, Illinois and New York.

Mitsuyo Maeda or he is better known a the Combat Count is a student of Judo founder, Kano Jigoro and Tsunejiro Tomita (One of Kano Jigoro first few students in Kano Ju Jutsu/ Judo)

Master Maeda went all around the world to fight and test himself with the best fighters from different discipline such as Wrestling and boxing

Watch the video and enjoy how much the gentle art has progressed since its formative years in Japan

I truly believe that Master Kano and Master Maeda are smiling wherever they are. Though they are no more on this earth, they have left us with something so much more than a sport but a lifestyle and a way of life.

UFC live on Versus: Cruz vs Johnson

UFC live on Versus on the 1st of October will feature a title bout between the UFC 135lbs bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz against Demetrious Johnson. The event would be held in the Verizon Center, Washington D.C.

After defending his UFC Bantamweight title against Urijah Faber in UFC 132 with a unanimous decision victory, Dominick 'The Dominator" Cruz look to defend his title once again against Demetrious "Mighty Mouse" Johnson in a 5 round war. Johnson is on a four Fight winning streak dating from September 2010 when he defeated Nick Pace to a unanimous decision.

The Champ on the other hand has not lost since march of 2007 when he first lost to Urijah Faber for the WEC featherweight title. Since then he has been on a tear, winning 9 straight fights in a row. The list of fighters he has defeated during the 9 fights win streak are some of the best bantamweight fighters in the world. The list includes Joseph Benavidez (Twice), Brian Bowles, Scott Jorgensen, Ian McCall, and Urijah Faber just to name a few.

The Co-Main event will be a heavyweight bout pitting the tallest fighter in the UFC Stefan Struve vs Pat Barry. Barry is one of the smaller heavyweight fighters but this fight is nevertheless exciting. Both are known to be strikers with Barry having a slight advantage in the stand up while Struve has a reach and jiu jitsu advantage. This is a freak show where anything goes.
